The debate about email marketing never goes away. Is it good to grow an email list? Of course. Always do it. Even if you only advertise a Newsletter. Your true fans, who know you won’t spam them, will always sign up to get more of what you have.
I hope this newsletter is a good example, but I’d really appreciate knowing if you agree, or if you’d like to see something else here? Just hit the reply button and let me know – and in the true spirit of the theme of many of last week’s posts in Science of Copywriting, I’ll send you a link to download a book I wrote a few years ago called Legendary.
Here’s the dedication from the book:
“To Freedom. Freedom is the only real human right. Freedom means having choice. If you value freedom but don’t feel free, ask yourself why, then do everything you can to make it so.”
If you’ve ever struggled to discover anything about your audience (eg. you’ve no idea how to build an avatar or get to know who it is you really value) then take a look at the last post of the week – called Click (link below). It’s a common sense way to do this. No guessing, and you can get started right away.
If you like that, then definitely take a look at the two preceding posts (Question and Conversion). They go into the psychology behind this. No more random lead magnets!

With my love,
Science of Copywriting
I've spent my working life starting and running a whole variety of businesses, from my first QPL Express Couriers where I travelled over 100,000 miles every year delivering packages on a motorcycle (along with a whole bunch of colleagues) to Accountz.com which made a major in-road in the UK, to ProofMEDIA my current business that focuses on Copywriting. The Science of Copywriting family is my way to give back to the world and teach people how to write better sales copy and run better businesses.
